Chen Yu is an exceptional designer and artist. No challenge is too great as he constantly seeks to learn new skills and attempt projects of ever-greater scale and complexity. His work has consequently achieved a superior level of accomplishment. He is a creative thinker, a hard worker, and a leader among his peers. He has obtained numerous awards, and his works have been shown in different countries, such as United States, Germany, Switzerland, Poland, Hungary, Russia, Ukraine, Serbia, Iran, Japan, Singapore, Korea, South Africa and China.
In May 2015, he earned an MFA degree in Graphic Design at the Maryland Institute College of Art, where he was mentored by Ellen Lupton and Jennifer Cole Phillips. He attended MICA as the recipient of a prestigious traveling scholarship award from the China Scholarship Council. He obtained his BA and MFA degrees in Visual Communication from Jilin University of Arts, China.
